ÃèÊö : How SCBA Aerator Work
Submerged aeration : Results from trapped air in the aerator pipes.
Bio-Disc aeration : Aerobic bacteria absorbs oxygen directly from trapped air underwater and it atmospheric pressure.
Suface aeration
: Waste water from the bottom of the tank is trapped in the aerator
pipes and transported to the surfaced the tank where it absorbs
additional oxygen
Mixing action : Rotation of the bio-disc
aerator causes air to be transported and mixed through out the tank.
Oxygen is diffusedin all parts of the aeration tank. Shorter retention
time is gained in addition to no anaerobic activity in the aeration
tank.
